DISLOCATION „SAGUL”

Controversially evaluated Latvian oriental / progressive death metal band Dislocation presents album „Sagul”.

Sagul (from lazgin language – „gratitude”) – is second recording from band, with drummer for clean vocals, guitarist for growl, with Middle Eastern music elements, melodic parts and aggressive death metal.

Dislocation are: Renats – drums, percussions, clean vocals, duduk; Oskars – guitars; Kaspars – guitar, growl vocals; Toms – bass guitar.

Band was founded at the end of 2006, but as usual, line-up changes, musical explorations, and concerts and records starts in year 2009, when demo recording „XXIX” is released. It is lively, progressive death metal with classic female vocals.

Already at the beginning band’s music was based on progressive / death metal mixing it with various different styles. What makes Dislocation special, is that they’re probably first Latvian band which uses elements from Middle Eastern music – chants from Koran and duduk.
